This Friday I will fly out for Sturgis, SD. Next week 500,000 bike riders will gather for one of the world’s largest motorcycle rallies anywhere in the world.
With all of this activity will come the opportunity to share the Gospel with many lost people. In the photo to the right you can see part of the plan. In the background is the Hellfighter’s ministry truck which will be loaded with supplies for our journey. In front of the truck is a package wrapped in white ans strapped to a flatbed trailer. Under that cover lies 10,000 Bibles. I’m not sure we will need that many Bibles but like any good soldier, no one ever wants to run out of ammunition.
To the left of the Bibles is a Fast Attack Vehicle. I don’t ride motorcycles, but thanks to the generosity of Richard Headrick, I will definitely have the opportunity to gather a crowd. Although they are covered in this photo, the Fast Attack Vehicle has two flamethrowers on it. With these two flamethrowers, I hope to attract a lot of attention which will provide me an opportunity to share the Gospel with those who gather to look at the unique ride.
Please pray for our group. Southwestern Seminary has a group going that contains professors, staff, and students. I’ll be teaching a practicum in personal evangelism while there. Our group will be assisting Hellfighters Ministry which works with motorcycle riders among other things all across the nation. A group from Nathan Lino’s church, Northeast Houston Baptist Church will join these two groups, and we will all work alongside other ministries including a Baptist group in South Dakota. We hope that by the end of the week, we will have shared the Gospel with thousands, had many make decisions, all while everyone in our group grows bolder in their faith and closer to God.
As time allows, I will be blogging about our trip each day for any who wish to follow the madness.
